Crook prefers jail to wife

An Italian crook begged to go back to jail after telling wardens life behind bars was better than living with his wife again. Prison bosses had freed Luigi Folliero, 45, to serve the second year of his two-year sentence for theft under house arrest. But after just two days at home he fled back to Ponte San Leonardo jail, near Naples, and pleaded to go back in his old cell because he could not stand being at home with his wife.

He told wardens: “She never stops moaning and nagging.”

The world’s first unicycle motorbike.

It may look like the most dangerous motorbike in the world but this new invention is actually the latest form of green transport.
The electric Uno is the brainchild of 18-year-old Canadian Ben Gulak who spent several years developing the bike, which is controlled entirely by body movements.
The machine actually has two wheels, side-by-side, and uses gyroscopic technology to stay upright. It moves in the direction the rider leans - and the more you lean, the faster you go.
Ben claims that the bike could help beat pollution and he was inspired to design it after visiting China and seeing all the smog there.
He says: “The bike is fairly easy to ride, but takes a bit of getting used to because you have to learn to trust it.”

The top speed on the current prototype is 25mph, but this could be increased with the use of a bigger motor.
The Uno weighs just 58kg and has a range of 2.5 hours once it is charged from the mains. Ben is seeking investors to help him put it into full production.

Crazy frog on a bike.

A Thai woman claims her pet frog enjoys riding toy motorcycles and can predict winning lottery numbers.

Tongsai Boommrungtai, 52, came across the black spotted frog, which she called Nong Oui, outside her house in Roi-Et.

“The frog had a small chick in its mouth,” she said. “I looked her straight in the eye and knew I could communicate with her. I told her to drop the chick and she did and then came hopping in.

“Ever since she has been a member of the family. For a long time villagers would come round and get tips on the National Lottery with the frog’s help. They used to read the skin on her stomach and look for numbers.

“Ten people subsequently won the lottery which drew crowds to the house - and then they started losing. So I have had to ground her. I promised one day to take her to the seaside, and her dream has come true.

“There is nothing more that she likes than to chill out on her toy Harley-Davison, or a battery operated dumper truck. But she can strike a pose just about anywhere.”
